Mary Ryan received her MSc and PhD from Oxford University in human biology and medical anthropology. From 1991-1997, she researched the efficacy of Tibetan and Asian medical treatments in Dharamsala, India. Here, her collaborations with Dr. Jamling led to groundbreaking methodologies in efficacy research. During her post-doc research on the treatment of Tibetan refugees with mental health issues, Dr. Ryan was astounded by the effectiveness of Tibetan Medicine for anxiety. This inspired her to train in Tibetan and Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture. You could try out making some of your own Tibetan medicine using home capsule supplies as well as purchasing the right bulk herbs.
